The Clean Clothes Campaign is an alliance of trade unions and NGOs from several European countries that seeks to improve working conditions within the global clothing and sportswear industries. The alliance trains and mobilises consumers, lobbies companies and governments and provides direct support for workers in their struggle for rights and improved labour conditions.

Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production is an independent, non-profit organisation that supports the certification of lawful, human and ethical manufacturing practices in the clothing and textile industry.

Better Cotton Initiative is the basis for the promotion of measurable improvements to the impact of cotton growing on the environment and society. The aim of the initiative is to increase profitability and sustainability in the cotton growing industry.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international organic clothing brand. Behind the label are a number of organic clothes manufacturers. The clothing is required to be made from at least 95% organic material, and production is required to be both environmentally and socially responsible.

Danish Fashion and Textile has developed a Code of Conduct based on the Global Compact's ten principles, with the addition of three further principles. Members of Danish Fashion and Textile are free to use the Code, which is thus made available to them, and/or to refer to it for inspiration in connection with any revision of their own Code of Conduct.
